West TN PBS WLJT Channel 11 is a registered 501c3 nonprofit public television station governed by the board of directors of the West Tennessee Public Television Council. Meetings of West Tennessee Public Television Council and the station’s Community Advisory Board are generally open to the public. Certain meetings, or portions of meetings, may be closed in order to address confidential or proprietary matters.
West TN PBS’ Board of Directors and Community Advisory Board conducts meetings that are open to the public both in person and virtually through a conference call (Zoom). West TN PBS WLJT Channel 11 is a registered 501c3 nonprofit public television station and media organization that is governed by a board of directors, the West Tennessee Public Television Council. Formed when the state of Tennessee turned over ownership of WLJT-TV, the board is made up of 16 members. The board provides overall responsibility to plan, authorize and review policies and procedures of West TN PBS WLJT-TV. All meetings of the West Tennessee Public Television Council are open to the public with meeting dates and locations listed on westtnpbs.org and can be found here. As permitted by law, Board and Committee meetings, and/or portions thereof, may be held in closed session to discuss personal and proprietary station matters.

Community Advisory Board
As a public community licensed television station, West TN PBS is involved and listens to the people of West Tennessee. As part of this philosophy, the station has a Community Advisory Board. This active group of volunteer leaders is the station's eyes and ears of the community and plays an integral part in the planning and implementation of many of the stations’ outreach programs. They also provide feedback and ideas about programming and station projects. They help to ensure that West TN PBS is serving our communities. Meetings of the Community Advisory board are open to the public with meeting dates and locations listed on westtnpbs.org and can be found here. West TN PBS WLJT-TV is a member of the Tennessee Public Broadcast Council (TPTC). The Council is made up of the public broadcast television stations which operate in the State of Tennessee. The organization coordinates state-wide public television projects including coverage of the Tennessee Legislature, State of the State addresses, and educational programming in coordination with the Tennessee Department of Education. TPTC conducts scheduled meetings that are open to the public, with meeting dates and locations listed on westtnpbs.org and can be found here.
